===============================

I first met her on a distant shore
In a far-off place across the sea
To think the girl that I'd been searching for
Was always waiting there for me

[And her name is Scarlet and her eyes are green
Her hair is the color of her name
Oh, she's the rarest beauty I have ever seen
My search for love was not in vain]

I keep thinking of that moonlit night
When she said, "I love you so"
I knew the moment that I held her tight
I'd never ever let her go

CHORUS

When I decided I was going back
Back home, that's where I want to stay
I asked her then to be my very own
We never parted from that day

CHORUS

CHORUS

And her name is Scarlet, that’s her name
And her name is Scarlet, that’s her name
