Gioachino Rossini was born in Pesaro on 29th February 1792. He learnt the horn and singing as a child and later went on to study at Bologna where he also lived most of his life. The Italian composer died in Passy on 13th November 1868.
William Tell is an Opera in 4 Acts. Libretto by Jovy and H.L.F. Bis and others. It was composed at Paris in 1829.
