Donah Washington

Dinah Washington was a R&B and Jazz recording an American singer, pianist and recording during the 1950's and 1960's. After winning a talent contest at the age of 15, Washington headed to Chicago and recorded under various labels. She had her her first hit with a version of "What a Diff'rence a Day Made", in 1959. In 1993, Washington was inducted in the Big Band and Jazz Hall of Fame (1984) Rock and the Roll Hall of Fame (1993). She died at 39 years old from an overdose of drugs.
