David Weiss and Don Fagenson formed "Was (Not Was)" as an eclectic pop duo in the early 1980's. They released five studio albums. None of the studio albums were commercially successful. Was Not Was released several singles with 20 of them making a minor dent in the pop charts. However, it was the 1987 smash single "Walk The Dinosaur" that hit the top of the charts around the world.
